UNITED SERVICES CLUB

OPEN AS FROM TO-DAY.

The recently-formed United Services Ciub for officers of the Naval, Military, and Air Forces is open to-day in Panama street for the first time. At a special general meeting on Friday last several matters in connection with the club were discussed. The constitution . and rules drafted by the committee were approved subject to revision by the club solicitor. Members residing beyond a six-miles radius from the G.P.O. are to be admitted as country members providing they have no place of business or daily occupation within that radius. Officers under 23 years of age are to be admitted to membership as town members at half the usual subscription. Provision has also been made for the admission as honorary members of not more than twelve civilians who have shown special interest in defence matters, and His Excellency. the GovernorGenera!, the G.O.C. New Zealand Military Forces, and the Senior Naval OffiC2i- are to be invited to join in this category. The following club officers have been appointed: —Trustees, Major Evatt, Lieut.
