HUTT TEAM'S TOUR

A fairly strong team from the Hutt Golf Club paid a visit to Otaki and Mafiawatu Clubs during the week-end, and iv each case was defeated, the Palmerston North Club in particular winning by a very good margin. The weather conditions were ideal at both centres visited, but the players in most cases found that the want of local knowledge was against them. At Palmerston North the results were as follow, Hutt names being mentioned first in each instance :—

Singles.

E. Wagg beat G. Saunders. 6 and 5. P. Wagg lost to W. H. M'Millan, 3 and 2.

L. Speedy beat A. Siefert, 4 and 3. G. T. Dawson halved with W. Hutchison.

W. K. Cook lost to E. G. Sim, 6 and

J. C. Wagg lost to H. Stringer, 4 and 3. ■ ' L. C. Hemery lost to E. Moore, 5 and 4.

B. C. Kirk v. H. Collinson (result unknown). W. G. Hughes lost to C Louisson, 6 and 5.

G. Cook lost to W. L. Fitzherbert, 3 and 1.

0. W. D. Bell lost to E. P. Abraham, 4 and 3.

W. B. Eainey lost to- W. Christie, 2 and 1.

E. C. Eobieson lost to M. H. Oram, 4 and 2.

C. M. Banks lost to 'W. E. Bendall 7 and 6.

G. D. M. Goodwin beat Johnson, 4 and 3.

M. Paulin beat B. Jacobs, 3 and 2.

E. and P. Wagg beat. G. Saunders and W. H. M'Millan, 2 up. Speedy and Dawson beat Seifert and Hutchison, 2 up. K. Cook and J. C. Wagg lost to Sim and Stringer, 3 and. 2. Kirk and Hemery beat Moore and Collinson, 4 and 3.

Hughes and Bell halved with Louisson and Fitzherbert.

G. Cook and Eainey lost to Abraham and Christie, 5 and 4. Robieson and Banks lost to Oram and Bendall, 3 and 2.

Blaxall and Goodwin halved with Ongley and Johnson.

Paulin and M'Gregor (snbstittue) lost to Jacobs and Duncalf.

Result: Manawatu 10 matches to 4 and one halved in the singles, and 5 matches to 2 and 2 halved in the fourballs.

At Otaki the results were as follow:— E. Wagg beat L. Speedy, 2 and 1. P. Wagg beat S. J. Sievers, 2 arid 1. J. C. Wagg lost to J. N. D'Ath, 3 and 2.

U. C. Hemery halved with E. H. Hop kins.

It. C. Kirk lost to W. H. Willis, 6 and 4. W. G. Hughes beat Is. Harper, 6 and E. C. Robieson lost to W. Gray, 3 and 1.

G. Blaxall lost to W. Smith, 2 down. H. V. Scott beat E. P. Simcox 3 and 2.

C. M. Banks lost to A. Podevin, 2 down. ■■ • ■ ■

P. B. Broad lost to- N. C. Blackburn, 5 and 4.

W. B. Eainey lost to Dr. Sharp 7 and 6.
