Other qualities, salted 136s 160s per cwt (Is 2£d, Is 5-Jd per lb); unsalted, 140s, 166s per cwt (Is 3d Is S|d per lb).

Australian, finest, coloured, 84s per cwt (9d per lb). Shipments New Zealand produce ar-' nved last week per s.s. Maimoa and .Hertford, and this week per s s Waiwera. HEMP, "WOOL, AND FRUIT. Hemp.—Manila market improving, and good business reported in April-June shipments at £39 10s. May-July shipments quoted at £39. New Zealand market unchanged. Wool.—Financial circles in Germany retards business, and quotations unchanged. ° Fruit.—Port Brisbane has discharged and, with the exception of Cox's Orange and London Pippin, whole shipment in good condition. Practically all Cox's Orange being repacked and securing good sales. Maimoa's. shipment disappointing considerable waste in most kinds and some difficulty in disposal. Hertford commenced discharging yesterday' (13th) but fruit not yet in.the market. Prices for Port' Brisbane apples are:—Scarlet Nonpareil, 11s 6d to 18s per case; Cox's Orange, 51s to 35s per case; Cleopatra, lls to 20s per case; Spitztenburg, 13s to 14s per case; Stunner, 16s to 18s per case; Jonathan, 9s 6d to 18s per case • Aewton Pippin, lls to 20s per case! Maimoa apples: Stunner, 15s to 17s per case; Cleopatra, 15s to 17s per case ; Delicious, 14 S to 15s per case; Dunn's favourite, 10s per case; Statesman, 14s to 16s per case; balance, 5s to 14s per case Sale of 500 cases Stunners, ex Hertford, realised 17s to 18s ncr casee. Pears, ex Maimoa, in mixed condition, and crates were destroyed. Port JJnshane pears also mixed. Prices will be given next week. OTHER PRODUCE. Peas (blue): Demand is limited. Prosent quotations are:—Japanese, on passage, £19 to £20 per ton, c.i.f.; Dutch, small round, hand picked, '£20 10s per ton, ci.f. Tasmanian, May-June "shipments, £15 15s per ton, c.i,f. Spot nominal values are about £20 10s. New Zealand, good quality, ex store, £18 per ton. Maple, in large supply, and little business. Good quality ' English selling at 55s to 64 S per quarter. Tasmanian. about £16 per ton, c.i.f., June-July or July-August shimpents. New Zealand excessive supplies. Beans: Trade practically confined to English at 45s to 50s per quarter. Wintor, up to 58s, spring. Chipese horse beans, July-September shipments, sold at £10 per ton. c.i.f.
