The game was marked by', many mistakes on both sides, and altogether lacked brilliance. At half-time the scores were:. Queensland 8, England 5. In the second half. Queensland played a greatly-improved game, and finished with the match well in hand. -

Playing in the local' senior - League competition on Saturday' Hutt defeated Newtown by 20 points to 8.
