WELLINGTON CLUB.

The club held an invitation run from the residence of Mr. Watson, Ferguson street, on Saturday. There was a large gathering of harriers and their friends and supporters, who were entertained at afternoon tea, at the conclusion of which Captain A. Hose thanked the host and hostess on behalf of the club. The run held was over a course of about five miles, leading from the back ot Newtown Park, out to Houghton Bay, and back through Lyall Bay and MeJrose home. A run-in was held over the last fifty yards, and won by W. Lyall, with F. Harland second, and M. HornWow third.. L. Robertson, Phillips, Clarke, and several others ran well. The three miles sealed handicap race for the I aimer Cup is to be run on Saturday at Lyall Bay, and a fxood race can be exported from the 35 competitors.
