AUCKLAND, This J)ay. , The Manukau Licensing Committee on Monday refused to grant a renewal of the license of the Hibernian Hotel, Onehunga, to F. 0. Bass. Counsel for the licensee then intimated that he would move for a mandamus to have the case removed to the Supreme Court to overrule the committee's action. Bass has now taken preliminary steps towarda an action for damages, claiming £SOO from each member of the committee excepting Mr. M'Kean, S.M., chairman, who was not present at Monday's meeting.
