(AUSTRALIAN-NEW ZEALAND OABLB ASSOCIATION.) NEW YORK, llth June. Official.—The Republican platform endorses the adherence to the World Court recommended by President Coolidge, and acclaims the refusal of the United States to adhere to the League. It advocates a world conference on the limitation of land forces, submarines, and poison gas, as recommended by President Coolidge; endorses debt settlement with European nations on the basis of the settlement with Britain, a continuation, of the protective tariff, especially ■on -agricultural products threatened by foreign competition; and pledges the observance and enforcement of all laws, and the devotion oi constitutional gurantees to political, religious, and civil liberty. The latter two planks are interpreted as to be against a modification of the Volstead Law, and as a mild condemnation of the Ku Klux Klan. The platform • laments instances of corruption of men in public office belonging to both parties, and asks for stern prosecution of them; advocates a federal anti-lynching law; declares that inilippine independence would not be wise at the present time; urges that there should be no weakening of the array and navy; endorses the mobilisation of material resources in the same way as man power in time of war; condemns the nationalisation of public utilities and. public ownership; endorses the eradication of the seven-day week and twelve-hour day for labour, and acclaims the eight-hour day; and endorses the remedies for agricultural depression advocated by President Coolidge in his nrst address to Congress.

NEW YORK, llth June. According to a Cleveland .message the plank condemning the Ku Klux Klan by name wa"s voted down without a rollcall by the Republican Resolution Committee. Senator La Follette's platform was also voted down.
