The report of the Devonport Steam Ferry Comp'any for the year ended 30th April state3 that the profit. and loss account, after placing £1550 to credit of accident insurance fund and .making an allowance for depreciation on steamers und plant, shows a net proQt for the year of £7592. Tlie balance brought forward last year after payment of dividend amounted to *590, making, a total of £81S'S' An interim dividend at the rate of 7i per cent, per annum was paid for the half-year ended 31st October, 1923, which absorbed £3909, leaving a balance to credit of the profit and loss account of £4274. The directors recommend a dividend at the rnte of 7i per cent, per annum for the half year eaded 30th April, 1924, which will absorb the snm of £3909, leaving a balance to be carried forward to next year's account of £365. ;
