KING'S THEATRE.

The stirring adaptation of Sir Walter, Scott's famous novel, ".The Talisman," entitled "Richard the Lion-hearted," is enjoying a tremendous run at the King's Theatre. The story has to do with Richard's march upon Jerusalem during the Third Crusade, and the jealousy and treachery of the European princes which compelled the English King to fall back H;ou tiic coast. Nothing more stirring than the attack by the Saracens upon Jaffa, and the lifting of the siege by the English has ever appeared nppn the screen. Wallace Beery makes an ideal king/ A clever comedy, in which the dog Pal plays, a prominent part, and a delightful musical programme •by the King's Select Orchestra, make tlie programme well worth while. The last two nights are announced.

Reginald Denny has achieved a worthy reputation for fast action in all his picture?,-, and now comes a picture in "which Denny moves through the pietuye at' a hundred miles per hour, "Spprtjng. Youth," the Universal attraction,' in which Denny is" starred, is coming to the King's. Theatre on Friday. Denny., is a wonderful driver and likes to play tag with the best racers, but "his craving for speedy was entirely satisfied during the filming of his latest and greatest picture. The climax of the story conies in.a big road race and all of the thrill of such a race has been caught by the camera. It was staged at San Luis, Obispo, near Monterey, California, and many of the world's most famous drivers took ; part in it. Denny is supported by beautiful Laura La Plante, .and an 'all-star cast. Splendid supports have also been.
