MR. L. BIRKS RETURNING
ILftNES^ IN AUSTRALIA.
Advice has been received that Mr. Laurenco. Birks, Chief Electrical Engineer, who loft Wellington recently to represent the Dominion at the World Power Conference in London, was obliged to seek medical advice on reaching Australia, and that as a result of an unfavpurable report he is to return .to New Zealand.
' New ; Zealand will be represented at the conference by Mr. Evan Parry, cf the firm of Preece, Cardew, and Ryder; Consulting Engineers to the New Zealand Government, • and by Sir James Allen,: High Commissioner.
