■'■: The executive: of th'e'v Brooklyn Muni.cipal Electors' Association,: in its '.annual report, places on record its appreciation of the council's decision to provide/a play area for' children of the district,: and also of the re-erection of a waiting shed for tramway passengers in-' Upper Willis street. ;, '." -.;' ; -. . ; J The Te Aro Advancement .Association : invited the association to co-operate in forming a deputation to wait upon the' .Mayor and councillors with a view of urging the immediate construction of the iRaroEC road route for tramway and vehicular traffic,: and the chairman and secretary were appointed delegates. ;■ The committee points out that the construction of "the route .would .be a great advantage to.Brooklyn. . ■ ' " _ Chief'among the improvements in the district were the completion of the storm water . pipes down Happy V Valley road,. and the, levelling of a, large area M at Tahera crescent and Nairn street reserve', for sport pirrposeis. Various important works to receive the .council's' favourable consideration were : The present dangerous exit from .Connaught terrace on '.to Washington avenue,, danger signs placed ■at various corners, seats to be placed round the Brooklyn war memorial, and the completion of the new Brooklyn-Morningtpri road. \ ■ The committee took a'very prominent part during Health Week. /.The chairman and secretary were appointed delegates to co-operate with the: DistrictControl Committee.
