ST. HILDA'S, ISLAND BAY

__ On Monday night last the vicar (the Key. G. Calvert Blathwayt) presided over an enthusiastic meeting uf parishioners at St. Hilda's Hall, Island Bay. lhe animal report staled that the past year_ had been one of the most successlul in the history of the church. A great improvement in attendance had taken place at the services, especially Holy Communion. The finances were in an excellent slate, so much so that no special appeal had to bo made to parishioners at the end of the year. This despite the fact that abstained window tiad been installed, the interior of the church oiled, repairs executed in the vicarage, and £50 paid off the mortgage. The following officers were elected •—• Vicar's warden, Mr.- E. J. Smith • people's warden, Mr. A. Barnes; vestry' Messrs. Anceil, Ashbridge, Cliipsom' Crowther, Gibson, Hutchings, Lockwood, Palmer, Saunders, and Win".
