' LONDON, 2nd May. Ihe mystery of the explosions on .the Ulster border is explained. They were caused by the blowing up of Eepublican dumps in the so-called "Monaghan Salient,*' as it was rumoured that Free State troops were going to raid the salient. The Republicans accordingly destroyed the ammunition.
