ENTRANCE ADORNMENTS

STORY OF AN ERROR OF JUDGMENT. -

t. -<n , LONDO^» 30th April. Ihe Graphic chuckles at the latest Wembley scandal. It relates that when the New Zealand pavilion was first planned a prominent New Zealand artist in England volunteered to model the figures to adorn the entrance, gratis, provided the commissioners covered his expenses. New Zealand declined the offer and gave the contract to a British firm, who invited the same artist to undertake the task.
