(PUBLISHED IN THE TIMES.) (Received 2nd May, 9.30 a.m.)
LONDON, Ist May
The Rome correspondent of "The I Times" states that the Italian Government has decided to do its utmost in putting into operation the experts' proposals with a minimum of delay. Signor Mussolini, who never favoured the Ruhr occupation, is anxious to secure the most complete collaboration between Britain, Italy, mid Belgium, has arranged a .meeting with M. "Theunis and M. Hymans at Milan. One o£ the reaj sons for his desire to meet the Belgians is to thid out at first hand their, impressions of the British attitude. This move on the part of Signor Mussolini mSrks a new development in Italian policy, and is fraught with the greatest importance. Hitherto Signor Mussolini has considered the conflict of opinion between the French and -British views on reparations as too acute to warrant any hope of successful mediation, but now he considers the decisive moment has arrived for a final assault on the reparations problem.
