An evening oE special enjoyment was share^ in by the seafarers at .Mrs. James Moore's concert on Thursday, at the Sailors' IMend Sooiety, when encores woro in great demand. .The performers were Mesdames Fortune, Montgomery Misses V. Bleez«, H. Perry. V Mueller Messrs. T. Nightingale, "a. Edmonds. Queally, Ward Bradley, and Sabine. Mrs. bortune and Mr. Sabine were at the piano. Tlio competitions prizes canii? from Mesdames Chambers, Yule, and Miss- James (Featherston), and went to •-ho Arawa and Ulimaroa. The missioner taakrs an appeal for xoading matter for tUe muu.
