THE ALLOCATION OF GROUNDS.

The following is tha allocation of grounds arid playing fields among the various sports bodies during the1 winter season, decided upon by. the City Council last evening, in accordance with the recommendation made by. ';■■ ■ The Football Association therefore will have, the use of 12 city fields, the Rugby Union, of IS,1 the.Hockey Association ofnine, and the Rugby' League and' Baseball Association of one-each. • \ Councillor C. H.'Chapman asked whether the chairman of the committee,would 1 consider a suggestion that the League people should be granted the use of Kelburn Park instead- of Emerson street. Councillor W. J. Thompson ssid that he would bring the matter under the notice of the Director of Parks and 1 Reserve! and see if anything could be 'donS; 1 ' f . „''-.■ Councillor J. Burns asked what 'was the position in regard to Karori Park and the Hockey Association.' The grantLing -of sole use of the Park, to the hockey people meant that the. Burn said that one of the principal reasons why the ground had been given to tho hockey people was that it would be extremely difficult to find accommodation for hockey games, elsewhere. -
