CUSTODY REFUSED

SYDNEY, 10th. April. ■ In'the Ellis case, the Court at Sydney refused the application of Mrs. Ellis (Emilie Polini) for the custody of the child, and ordered that the child remain in the custody of its father, on the ground that the mother's life during the next two years as an actress'would ■be unsettled, and therefore it .would be better for. the child to continue in its present settled Ijome. This refusal is not to prejudice a future application when the circumstances are altered.
