_ There was a good attendance in tho Concert' Chamber, Town Hall, at midday on the occasion of the weekly intercessory service. Mr. 'J.. W. Henderson pre- . prayers were offered by the Rev. Dr. J. Kennedy Elliott and Messrs. W. J. Mason and ,A. Varney: benpture readings were as ' follow :— Isalm 34 by the chaiiman; Isaiah, 53rd chap., by Mr. H..P. Mourant; and St. Luke 23 :27-47, by Mr. T. H. Gill. Several favourite hymns were sung, Mr.. J. Allen officiating at the piano. Owing tD intervening holidays, the next intercesory sen-ice will not bo held until Friday. 2nd May. • 1
