The New Zealanders beat Leviaka by an innings and 9 runs. At the luncheon adjournment, New Zealand had made 188 runs for eight wickets (Anthony 50, Irving 23, Postles 31, Gillespie 19, Sommerville 1, Cooper 33, Smith not out 5, Kelly 1). The first Test match will start on Thursday.
