SECTIONS NOT REPRESENTED
(By. "Justice.")
Very great disappointment will be felt by the ; rank and file of the people at the personnel of the Taxation Commission: They are all estimable and able men, but their views on taxation are known. Three of them sat on the last Commission one signed the majority report, which' the Prime Minister, did not accept; two were on the minority side,. whilst the fourth member is a well-known and esteemed runholder. The four members are men of means, and, three of them at least are politically on one side. This is a great ' national political issue affecting everv section in the community, and it ■is not just that one side alone should be represented on the Commission. There have i been many expressions of opinion that* the Com mission would be one-sided, and v I think the Prime Minister has ina'de a very grave mistake by, not..'. appointing representatives of other sections of the community besides, capital •.and,,.; landed interests. •- ' '■ ■ -.■•"■■--:•':'.'n» ■■'.-
