In connection with Corporal Herbert Richardson, the Victoria Cross hero who .was impersonated by a man named Aeal Richardson, the discovery of the fraud/ has had * its happy result. Richardson, who was working as a labourer at Liverpool, has now had a reunion with his well-to-do family after twenty-five years' estrangement. He visited his old home in trepidation, wondering what his reception would be, but he was recognised instantly, and received with embraces and kisses. Richardson said: "When I read of the exploits of the roasquerader I was staggered. l'(am too quiet, but when I saw I was dead I thought it was time to let people know I was alive."
