They '. recently regaled themselves on the flesh of a couple of racehorses, whose value, according- to the complainant in a case now before the Courts, was 75,000-francs.- A Dublin horsebreeder is suing! M." Wer'(jheimer, • the owner of Epinard, to recover that sum for horses which he claims Mv. Wertheimer purchased. He' stated that animals were sent to M. Wertheimer's trainer, but when the trainer, presented his account to M Wertheimer he repudiated responsibility on the grounds that he had never bought the horses. The -complainant also de' chned to pay the trainer, who,' in order to recover his expenses, sold them for .'3OO francs to a horse butcher.
