ALL-BLACK MATTERS.

The _ Management Committee of the rsew Zealand Rugby Union met hist livening, Mr. S. S. Dean presiding. Other members present were: Messrs. A C. , Kitto, W. Hornig, E. A: Little, E. Wylie, and T. A. Fletcher. In regard to the difference between ■ Ills Canterbury Union and the Marist Club at Christchurch, the Celtic (South Canterbury) Club recommended tho union "to take such action as will give the clubs and public generally confidence in their control of the sport, and in the intererts of Kugby football allay the uneasy fooling that .exists." ' The letter was received. Tho Woston-Super-Mare Rugby Football Club offered the use of its grounds and accommodation for training purposes while the All-Black team is in that part of England. The letter was referred to tho manager of the team. In further reply to a request from tho Alberta Rugby Union that the AllBlack team pay a visit to Canada, it was decided to state that it was impossible to arrange such a visit. The offer of an English firm to fit out the-, whole of tho All-Black team with a, football boot when they arrive in England, free of charge, made through tho New' Zealand Sports Service- Depot, was ac- | cepted. An endeavour is to lie made to have tho English International match (3rd January) on tho All-Black tour programme- interchanged with-the Combined Services match (13th December); alternatively to have the French matches played last. The Westland Sub-Union applied I through tho West Coast Union for affilia- I tion as a. separate'union for tho West-I land district, with headquarters at Hokitika. It was decided to point out that the rules required such an application to bo proposed and seconded by two affiliated unions. The chairman stated that a cable message had been forwarded to England asking if there was any possibility of having the decision in regard to tho allowances to members of the touring team reconsidered; No reply had so far been received.
