Voting as on a question of "confidence ki the Government, the ' Chaniber of Deputies, rejected a Radical amendment to the Pensions Bill .by 327 .votes to 201. It was. a test vote.,on the ■same issue which caused the defeat of the late Government on 26th March.' The- present majority affords a truer veflex of the Government's position than -last night's • vote on the' Ruhr policy, on which M. Poincare has invariably secured thumping majorities.
