FEILDING.

! EEILDING, 20th March. Savile Cup polo competitions opened on the Feilding Jockey Club grounds yesterday in perfect weather. In tile first match Rangitikei A met Wairarapa. Rangitikei team proved greatly superior, scoring rapidly by good combination, and eventually won by 14 goals to 1. In the second game Hawkes Bay B met Rangitikei B, and this provided a more evenly contested game. Hawkes Bay having the better combination and faster ponies, won by 4 goals to 2. To-day Hawkes Bay A met the new Feildiiig Club's team. Hawkes Bay had a. runaway victory, winning by 24 goals to X. In the second game. Rangitikei A met Hawkes Bay B. This game was much ■more evenly contested, being both fast and interesting. For a young team, Hawkes Bay B put up a good fight against the veterans, but tired towards the finish. Rangitikei eventually won by 4 goals to 2. To-morrow Feilding will play Rangitikei B, and Rangitikei A will meet Hawkes Bay B. These are handicap matches. The Savile Cup final will be play on Saturday, when Rangitikei A will meet Hawkes Bay A.
