SYDNEY, 18th March. .Tames Mantel was committed for trial on a charge of feloniously shooting his wife, who has now recovered' frfim her wounds. The evidence disclosed sordid details arising out of the woman's relations with another man.

I Hearing shots in the top flat of a, ♦ uilding in North Sydney, neighbours rushed to the scene and found Mrs. Mantel, aged 30, lying in a' pool of blood on the floor, with five bullet, wounds in her head and hotly. She was taken to hospital in a critical condition.
