Mr. E. Page, S.M., presided at. tpday's sitting of the Magistrate's Court. John Hyan, with a previous, convie-" lion for drunkenness, was fined £1, tha amount of the bail. Matthew Hanralian was fined £3 for being drunk while in the charge of a horse in Tory place. Pukeiotu Morell was fined ss. in default twenty-four hours' imprisonment, toi drunkenness. On a charge of wilfully breaking a pane of glass valued ,at 15s in the Taranaki Street Police StaI lion,' he was ordered to pay the amount oi the damage, in default seven days* imprisonment.. ' •
