HIS MAJESTY'S THEATRE.
Thoi'e are niany attractive features in the new programme presented at His Majesty's Theatre last evening. The concertina player, Harry North, was heard in several popular numbers, and Lloyd and Raymond were particularly successful in patter and song,'but their best offering was a delightfully executed simultaneous dance. Charles "Lawrence, accompanying himself on the piano, provided some clever humour, and Leo Stirling, the versatile wandering musician, scored a decided success. Durno, a trick cyclist, could not be accused of being a bicycle rider—his machine has only one wheel and the saddle is so high above the axle • that -it is necessary for him to use a ladder in mounting. The English Sunbeam Revue Company, headed by ths popular comediaris, Doddy Hurl and Harry Evans, presented.the second revue of its season, a colourful musical farce entitled "Special Mixtures." Doddy .Hlirl .made' his initial appearance as a. sweets, vendor in' the stalls of the theatre, and from then onwards he kept the haese well entertained by his quaint humcur. He was well supported by Harry Evans and the other members of the company. The vocal numbers included "Clothes Props." well sung by Vernon Sellars. "The Six: Sunbeams" gave a clever acrobatic turn, which surprised the audience. Perhaps the best effort of the revue was "Mississippi," ' tunefully sung by Patsie Hill and Vernon Sellars, .supported by. the "Sunbeam Six." The scenery ivas most striking, and both vocalists were on their best form. The programme is to be repeated nightly throughout the week.
