LUCKY ESCAPE FROM DEATH

(ATJSTRAUiN-KEW ZEALAND CABLE ASSOCIATION.) LONDON, 16th March. The "Sunday Express" says that hundreds of horrified spectators witnessed the Prince of Wales fair from his horse, named Little Favourite, which kicked out wildly. The Prince was within an ace of being kicked to death and the Duke of York and Prince Henry rushed forward. The crowd maintained a hushed silence as the Prince of Wales was placed in an ambulance, the Duke •of York accompanying him to a farmhouse. The Prince pluckily attempted to rise, from the stretcher, but was restrained. He was afterwards taken to Aldershot, where a surgeon declared that there was no danger. ■ Before the race tho Prince was laughing and chatting: He" was cheered when he rode to the starting point.
