FAIR WEATHER
Although showery weather 'has teen experienced in many parts of the Dominion, the indications point to fair weather generally, with a probability of ram in some parts before- the improvement comes about. Wellington is among the places which have been without rain since yesterday morning. The Director of the Meteorological Office reporte today that barometric pressure has increased slowly over the Dominion, althoughit is still rather low in the South. At 9 o'clock this morning showery weather was reported from places along the western coast and in the southern portion of the South. Island. Generally, the weather has been fair to cloudy. The barometer is likely to rise everywhere, and moderate to strong southerly-winds, squally at times in the south' of Gbok Strait, are probable. For the immediate future, changeable conditions may be expected, with scattered showers, particularly on the western coast and in' and south of Cook Strait. Fair weather is probable on the east coast of the North. Island, and the night should be cold generally. Subsequent weather conditions should be of the fair order.
