GISBORNE; This • Day. ,;. The police are engaged to-day in a systematic search of the countryside for. evidence relating to the crime at Makaraka Cemetery. In additien tp. the lecal police, a number of outside detectives are engaged, and,further reinforcements are ceming frpm Auckland and Wellingten. It is theught that it will he difficult fpr the murderer to get away from the district. No clues have yet been obtained, but the movements of a swagger who was in the lecality pn Sunday are being closely investigated. : , '':
