KING'S THEATRE.
"Remembrance," a United; Artists' release, which is being -screened* _tr'the' King's Theatre, this week, is a film depicting the life of a hardvYprfsed father, who. has to do all the'work in. order to receive the satisfaction of merely .keeping; his good-for-nothing family in luxury. For his efforts he receives no Tecompensei but the slights of his children and the thoughtless way his good work is received. One fine day, however, the familybubble literally bursts, and the children then realise that their best friend: in all the world is, after all, their-father.: The supports are particularly "■'good' on this occasion, and include "Baby Peggy" in "Carmen Junior." The musical prologue, is provided by Miss Elsie Sell,' JJ'ho renders "La Boheme" excerpi'ji'nd 'St. Nicholas's Day" with much;.effect. The programme, from a musical point of view, is also,an interesting one, for-the overture lis Nicola's ""Merry Wiy.es:: of Windsor." The other-items are _H-..we11. selected, and of much interest. - Mr;- L. D. Next Friday, at the King's The-itreiwill be screened Lois Web'er's . sensational success, "A Chapter in Her Life,''"ta^en from the world-famed novel written by Clara Louise Burnham. . It teaches „ great truth and does it engrossingly. md fearlessly. The story deals with -the heart of a little' child in an -eriviperi-ment-of hate, and whose mind sees'the good m people, 'which conquers the-evil of others. Lois Weber directed it'^rom, the play, and sceriarised it from':''the original novel. -The exterior action "_?"sefc m a celebrated California estate." """Great names and a great'story'/great- acting, and a great..principle in life underlying the dramatic,*, tale—these ,are the Secjretg that have made this film world-famed. The cast includes such great artists-as Claude Gilhngwater; Jane". Mercer, .-"Jacqueline Gadsden, Robert Fraziery Frances Raymond, Evelyn Thatcher, ' Ralph lea-sly, Fred Thompson, and Blth Kayon. A big supporting programme has been arranged, and in addition Mr. Austin, musical director, has prepared a special musical score.
