. Bylaw cases were dealt with by Mr \C. R. 0 it-Walker, R.M., at the Magisj trate's Court yesterday afternoon. i Ernest Bacot Atwocd was fined 10s | with costs for driving a motor-car in a prohibited part of Courtenay place. A fine of 10s with costs was imposed on Wallace John Elliott for failure to have a rear light on a motor-bus. For failure to notify the change of ownership of a motor-car, Bertram Thomas' Elliott was ordered to pay ?s costs. Ou similar charges, Dominion Motors, Ltd., were ordered to pay costs amounting to 7s, and Maurice N. Manthel was fined 5s and costs. For driving past a stationary tramcar Thomas Edgar Reynolds was, fined 10s, Walter A. Fisher 20s, and James Johnston 255. John Edward Fitzgerald, for having no rear number on his motor-car, was fined 10s with costs. For having no headlight on . their motor-cars, Joseph Lavin, Maurice N. Manthel, George Williams, Charles J. Dutfy, and Maurice S. G. Monk were each fined 5s and costs, and Ernest Bell and Leslie Egles were.each lined 10s and cost_"."t;;': ~;'~./.,.;- "„:,;:■"; ;:*-•'..,. ' For having, no rear light on their motor-cars, Leopold E. J. De Ernesto and Howard Nattrass were each fined 10s, and George J. Cooper, Jack Banning, Gerald C. Greening, w<>ve each fined 5s and costs, and Ernest Bell was ordered to pay costs. For cutting a corner Mary Peterson was fined 10s and costs, George Brown was fined 20s and costs for casting offensive matter on the footpath. Matthew C. Carter was fined 10s and costs for leaving a motor-car unattended for niore than ten minutes. Chit You Sang was fined 5s and costs for having no front number oil his motor-car. A fine of 5s and costs was impoaod on John Morgan, who rode a bicycls without a bell in a street. Smoking in an auction mart cost George Hick 5s and costs. Herbert Morton, whose motor number was not easily distinguishable, was fined £5 and costs. A fine of 15s and costs was imposed on Howard D. T. Ellis for exceeding the speed'limit on his motor-cycle. William F. Lietz and A. Sunnex, who refused to pay their tram fares, were each fined 10s and costs. For permitting stock to wander Norman Ellis, George Gallatte, and Andrew Robertson were each fined 10s, / Earl Hansen was ' fined 12s' 6d, and Daniel Ryan was fined ss, Thomas H. Jopson, for having an unlicensed express, was fined ss. William Nicholson was fined 15s for riding a motor-cycle, at an excessive speed along the foreshore at Titahi Bay.
