DECREASE IN BIRTHS.
Though the December registrations of, births are ahead/of those for December last year, the total for the whole year, as compared with 1922, shows a fairly solid- decrease. There is little variation between the other vital statistical figures. The December figures are as follow:— , 1922. 1923.
