DAMAGE IN SYDNEY
SYDNEY, 25th December. ; Towards midnight a big fire occurred in a four-storied building near the _ Central. Railway Station. It was occupied by the Singer Sewing Machine printery and other firms. The conflagration subsided almost as suddenly as it started,' the fire fighters, succeeding in confining the flames to one building. The damage is estimated at £100,000.
