ELECTION OF PRODUCERS' REPRESENTATIVES THREE REMAINING APPOINTMENTS. ■: Tha election of the nine representatives of the producers of the Dairy-produce. Export Control Board has now been com' pleted. Following are the names of those I elected:— ■ ■ .. . North Island: Messrs. W. Goodfellow, W. Grounds, H. D. Forsyth, W. C. MoI tion, W. A. lorns and K. W. Dalrymple. South Island: Messrs. J. R. Thacker, J. R. Hamilton, and J. Fisher. The ballot for the return of the South Island members was completed last night, the voting being' as follows:—J. R. Thacker, 6131; J. R. Hamilton,. 3776; J. Fisher, 3565 (elected); W. Lee, 3419; -F Waite, 3284; H. J. Topless, 1113; R. Newell, 813. The total votes polled were 22,101. There were 7367: valid voting papers and 119 informal. Messrs. lhacker, Fisher, and Waite were tha "ticket" recommended by the Dairy Control Committee. All the members of the North Island "ticket" were returned: The Dairy-produce. Export Control Board is to consist: of twelve members altogether, consequently three remain to be appointed—two to represent the Goteminent, and one to represent the commercial people interested in the export of dairy produce. The Act prohibiti the appointment as Government members of persons whom the producers hay« rejected as their representatives.
