HELIUM IN CANADA
VALUABLE FOR AIRSHIPS.

Small quantities of helium recently discovered in Canada may be of aid to' British ligher-than-air flying, according to the Duke of Sutherland, tinder-Secre-tary for Aviation, who has arrived to study aviation in the United States. He said that he hoped that further deposits of helium would be found in the _ British Empire, since development of lighter-than-air flying in Britain was hampered by the necessity of manufacturing gas, for airships.
