The annual break-up.; and= presentation of prizes of the Northland State School took place last evening in St Anne a Hall. The dv* of the'school, Keith Aston, was awarded Mr. D. M. Poison's special prize. Class prizes were won as fol-low^-Standard VI. : E. Gouff B> E. Bellman, Kathleen Sotham. Standard D. Wilson, Marjorie Bice, T. Sto--vens. Standard IV.: D. Knight, R Gapes, Veda Churchhouse. Standard K-k <£ Un5 eyi Tr era Parks ' Barbara Smith. Standard II.: Gladys Gapes Zena Willis Hester Sellens. Standard I.: Helen Valentine, Ina Boyes, Betty Sotham. ' Special prizes presented by the Rev. Mr. Brown for the most diligent boy and girl were won by Albert Jacobson and Edna Smith. Presented by Mr Fred Gapes for the boy and girl making most improvement during the year yon by George Wilkinson and Rowena Wilkinson, while special prizes presented by Ngaire Boyes and Keith Aston were won by Audry Drummond and Albert Davidson respectively. The gold medal presented by Miss Benzoni for good attendance was won by Jessie Johnston who has four years' -unbroken attendance. The prize for the best sport in the school, presented by Mr. C. H Nicholls, was won by Peter Clement-
