Unless some further unexpected delay occurs, the report of the special committee set up to go into the question ot a change-over in the city's electricity supply with particular reference to the probable cost to householders for rewiring etc., will be- placed before the Uty Council on Tuesday night. The letting of the contract in regard to advertising on city trams is also to be discussed by the council, and another matter will be the passing of the necessary machinery resolutions .authorising the raising of a loan of £50.000, at 5i ppr cent., plus 1 per cent, for sinking fund, tor tlie construction of the Hutt road.
