AMALGAMATION PEOPOSAL.
A meeting of the Seatoun and B*w Progressive Association was held last night. The following members Kwer« Present: Mr. E. Rawson (chairman) Messrs. Bennett, Phil Myeii, Thoffiai, _A letter was received from Mr.-A. B. .Pregton, president of : the Watts Peninsula Municipal Electors' Association, drawing attention to the fact that at a recently attended .meeting-of residents representing the north, strath, jwest, centre, and parts of. the eastern portions, it waß decided to amalgamate and form one association under the jurisdiction of the Miwmar Boroueh Council. ...... ° Mr. Preston invited the Seatoun association to join the amalgamation, and stated that teats had been reserved in the Council Chamber for members fram that district. After some discussion it was decided to reply to the Watts Peninsula Municipal Ejectors' Association ■ saying that" they did pot consider jt in. the best interest of either association to amalgamate, but were prepared to join in all matters affecting the combined districts w » whole, ■_■•■:' ■ '■•-
