Mr.,A; J. White presided at the month5-& eeti?k o1 kooklyn School Committ.ee held recently. Complaint* were received that tennis . players were constant y making a. nuisance, of themselves by chiubuig over back fences of houses adjoining tie echolo courts in the early hours of the morning, looking for lost tennis balls. It was resolved that the secretary be instructed to write to the- various tennis clubs advising them of the .complaint, and stating that if it continues, the .committee will seriously consider tho advisability of letting them have the further use of the courts. A letter was received from . the Eastbourne Borough Council drawing the attention of the committee to the advantage Eastbourne is offering for school picnics, lie matter was left over until tho next meeting, when dates for the picnio will be discussed. The children of the higher standards availed themselves of the invitation to visit H.M.S. Chatham on Wednesday last. The initiation of tho children into tho Young Citizens' League took place at the school on the 15th November. Advice was received from the secretary of the Education Board that Mr. C. L. Brock has been selected for the vacancy occurring through the resignation of Mr. H. B. White.
