(UNITED PRESS ASSOCIATION.— COPini'iHT.) UustrAlian-new Zealand cable association.) NEW YORK, 26th November. Mike M'Tigue announces that ha ha 3 accepted a twenty-round match with Joo Beckett, in Dublin, on itth March, for the heavyweight championship of the British Empire.

When M'Tigue beat "Battling" Siki, he also won the heavyweight championship of Europe, which Siki had shortly before won from Georges Carpentier. More recently Beckett was disposed of in five seconds by Carpentier, in a match which lias been declared a terrible fiasco, and in which, according to experts, Beckett was never a "trier." It is understood that Beckett is retiring from boxing.
