The Administrator of the mandated territory in New Guinea, states that tliore are still about forty Germans iii the territory, in addition to 270 German missionaries. There are that German propaganda is still active, ihe output of copra in. the territory last year, increased by over 7000 tons, and the introduction of direct shipment to Britain and Europe, with the consequent reduction in freights from £9 15s per ton in 1921 to under £3, has greatly benefited industry.
