"MONKEYED ABOUT"

PEOPLE SICK OF POLITICAL WAYS

LONDON, 26th November. Mr. J. H. Thomas (secretary of the Railwaymeu's Union), speaking at Smethwick, said Labour was supposed to be an unconstitutional party, but th« present was the second constitutional election in a year. The Tories had decided, for their own ends and personal aggrandisement, to force an election. The Labour Party was not riveted either to Free Trade or to Protection. They did not believe that Protection would remedy ■inemployment, but would aggravate the evil. Mr. Baldwin said the people were getting sick of being monkeyed about by politicians. This was true. The people would indicate the degree of that sickness on 6th December.
