LOWER HUTT SITTING.

The monthly sitting of the Lower Hutt Magistrate's Court was held yesterday before Mr. R. Orr-Walker, and Messrs .Tas. Pearce and H. W. M. Kendall, J.r. s. For a breach of his prohibition order,' H. J. Mudgway was fined 30s and costs. A. H. Mudgway was fined £3 and 9g costs for the use of obscene language Riding their bicycles at night without lights cost C. Ryan and W. J. Wiseman each 10s and 7s costs. For failure to stamp receipts for rent received, F. Ma-zzola was fined 10 s and 7s costs on each of three charges * Mrs. M. Coffey (Mr." A. J. Mazengarb) -was granted a . separation order from M. Coffey (Mr. W. B. Eainey), with £2 per week maintenance and the guardianship of the four youngest children. . P. Nepia was adjudged the father of an illegitimate child, and was ordered to pay the sum of £12 19s' 6d and 10s per week, with £2 12s costs. Judgment by default was given for plaintiffs in the following undefended civil cases:—F. J. Brattle v. M.. M. Mendeh, £1 16s 6d and 8s costs; Stiles and Deans v. E. C. Harrison, £19 Is 3d and £3 4s costs; A. G. Toohey v. Turi Sullivan, £1 Is and 8s costs. In judgment summons cases P. N. M'Grath was ordered to pay V. E. Lowers the sum of £1 3s 7d or suffer two days' imprisonment, and W. Giles to pay A. P Leyland the sum of £11 5s 8d) at the rate of 10s per month. No default was fixed.
