FIRE ON LAMBTON QUAY

An outbreak of fire occurred in the Trbcadera Private Hotel, Lambton quay, about 2 .o'clock this afternoon,. but fortunately it was quickly suppressed by the Fire Brigade before any serious damage could be done. It originated in a shaft leading from the kitchen, which was used for conducting the fumes from that, part of the house. Some of the window ledges on the top floor were scorched, but the only real damage was done by water.
