Fine and medium wools ,v% bettor by Jd to Id, eoaree wools jd per Ib. Salties were in demand, and prices were fully 3d to (id higher than. previous quotations. Hides.—Late values were firmly maintamed for well-conditioned heavyweight ox add cow, and in some cases showed a slight advance. Medium and light weights were down about Jd on last sales rates. Slippy dry, and inferior grades were difficult of sale, and sold at low rates. Calf sold exceptionally well, and showed an advance of Id to ljd. For a nice line of supers, averaging 51b, we secured 35} d. Tallow was slightly, easier. Market slow "New Zealand Dairy Produce.—Butter, choicest salted, 186s to 188s per cwt Market . quiet. Cheese, 106s to 110s per cwt. Steadier." LONDON SHEEPSKIN MARKET. Messrs. Dalgety and Company, Limited, have to report having received the followipg cablegram from their London house, under date of 2nd November:— "The following is the range of prices real.ised at our sheepskin sale held last Thursday:—Merino, 5 to full-woolled, 17d to "odmerino, i to J woolled, 9d to 3Cd; short and shorn, Sd to lOd; crossbred, J to full-woolled fine, 14d to 19Jd; crossbred, J to full-woolled medium and coarse. The Department of Agriculture, ■Wellington, has received the following advice from Calcutta concerning the market for linseed-— "Linseed, 892s per ton of 22401b, November shipments; cost and freight, Sydney. These prices are ex store. Compared with last week's quotations, North Island lamb is Id cheaper, ewei and fores of beef are id dearer; hinda of beef are £d cheaper. -. QUIET BUTTER JIARKET. _, , .. LONDON, Ist November. The butter market is quiet. Danish is firm at 202s to 2OCs, but New Zealand choicest, ex Westmoreland, is only makius 180s to 190s, which Is below its fair value compared with Danish.
