QUEEN'S THEATRE.

"The liger'a Claw," a Paramount picture starring Jack Holt, heads the programme now showing at the Queen's Theatre. According to the scenario, a swamp, with dense foliage and ferocious wild animals, was necessary. For a week a continual overflow of water was poured over the ploughed surface, nearly three acres in extent. In this were erected trees and foliage common to India.. Native, huts -were erected with slightly less trouble, and a houseboat in which much close action takes place was the final touch of constructive work. Then, around the entire set, a high fence was erected. Into this replica of India were turned a pair of tigers, a cheetah. a leopard,' several monkeys, four or fiva elephants, and several snakes. It- was m this set that several of the most exciting scenes of "The Tiger's Claw" werephotographed, including Mr. Holt's fight with the tiger. Other items .on the programme are episode five of "The bocial Buccaneer," starring Jack Mulnall, a Century comedy "Holdl On,"- a Burton Holmes Travelogue, and the latest Gazettes. An excellent musical programme is-played by the Queen's Orchestra. The box plan is at The .Bristol.
