WASHINGTON, 28th October. The United States Government is considering a plan for exporting fifty million bushels of wheat to Germany to assist in meeting the crisis which, is threatening .widespread suffering. The plan is favourably regarded by President Coolidge, and is linked with the reparations offer. The cost of the grain and the export charges will be met by a two-year loan from the War Finance Corporation. Details of the proposal have been submitted to the Secretary of Agriculture by a committee of leading grain men, who see a method of assisting the American farmer and preventing famine in Germany at the same time.
